Virgin Australia is adding six more weekly flights to Bali.
From 19 December 2013, the airline will add an extra weekly service from Brisbane, two extra flights from Sydney and three more weekly services from Melbourne. In total, the new flights will add more than 1,000 extra weekly seats to the Indonesian island.
“Today’s announcement demonstrates our commitment to adapting our schedule to meet the demand of travellers,” said Virgin Australia’s chief commercial officer, Judith Crompton.
“Bali is one of Australia’s most popular international leisure destinations, visited by over 2.8 million Australians each year. By adding more than 1,000 seats per week, we will be able to support increased demand to this region.”
All new flights will be operated by Virgin Australia’s 176-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft offering both business and economy classes. The airline’s in-flight entertainment system will also allow guests to stream content to their own smartphones, laptops and tablets.
