Virgin Australia has expanded its network of international connections, following the launch of new codeshare routes.
An expanded codeshare agreement with Delta Air Lines will see the addition of three new destinations to Virgin Australia’s route map. Passengers will now be able to fly from Australia to Nashville, Kansas City and Raleigh-Durham, via Los Angeles.
And a brand new codeshare with South African Airways will offer daily direct services from Perth to Johannesburg. This follows the launch of SAA’s codeshare on Virgin Australia’s daily services from Perth to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney earlier this year.
“Our international network continues to expand and we now offer Australians the ability to fly to more than 450 destinations around the world,” said Virgin Australia’s chief commercial officer, Judith Crompton.
“We continue to work with our partners to ensure we offer a growing international network that meets the needs of our business and leisure customers.”
On both SAA and Delta codeshare flights, members of Virgin Australia’s Velocity frequent flyer programme will be able to earn points.
