Virgin Australia has unveiled its revamped lounge at Melbourne Airport.
The old lounge has undergone a six-month renovation project, which saw the facility double in size to become the biggest in Virgin Australia’s network.
The new 1,209m² lounge seats 604 passengers and features a dining area, wine and espresso bars, two meeting rooms, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, PCs connected to printers, and 10 high-definition televisions.
“We are delighted to unveil our newly-transformed Melbourne lounge, which provides our guests with more areas to relax, refuel and recharge in a stylish and contemporary setting,” said Virgin Australia’s chief customer officer, Mark Hassell.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to take the airport experience to the next level and are pleased to offer our first in-lounge Wine Bar and Espresso Bar, giving a unique world-class service experience to our guests,” he added.
And in July 2014, Virgin Australia expects to open a new security screening point within the lounge, which will allow passengers to move straight from the lounge to the departure gate.
