UK tourist board VisitBritain is pushing the country’s “family friendly” and royal attractions abroad, following the birth of the royal baby.

The office has released tips to its US database to highlight the sites tourists can visit during their time in the UK including Buckingham Palace and other royal residences around the country.

David Leslie, spokesman for VisitBritain told Travel Daily that: “The birth of the Prince of Cambridge gives us an opportunity to provide some great family friendly travel ideas and of course heighten the profile of our royal attractions across the country. Britain is considered a family destination that really does have something for everyone. It has plenty of kid friendly activities as well as plenty for older generations to experience and enjoy.”

Leslie also said that there had been an increased amount of interest from the US and Asia.
