Voyages of Antiquity expands in Western Mediterranean

Voyages of Antiquity has released its 2013 brochure with expanded coverage in the Western Mediterranean.
Itineraries to France, Spain and a stronger emphasis on Sicily are included, all operated by the 350-guest Aegean Odyssey. The ship was originally built to carry up to 570 passengers but has been fully reconfigured to now carry only 350-guests and thus offer its guests larger and more comfortable staterooms and more spacious public spaces onboard.
Western Mediterranean cruises along the Riviera coast include the 16 May departure from Rome to Cannes itinerary which includes a two-night pre-cruise stay in Rome and visits Elba, Avignon, Florence, Barcelona, Palma and Carcassonne. A highlight of this cruise-tour is the Maddalena Archipelago of the coast of Corsica. The 28 May voyage from Cannes to Venice visits five countries in 16 days.
Itineraries highlighting the Adriatic’s Dalmatian Coast and Sicily include two departures of a cruise between Istanbul and Athens on 12 April and 9 September 2013. The voyage includes a two-night pre-cruise stay in Istanbul before cruising through the Sea of Marmara and the Dardanelles to Lemnos and Mount Athos, the “Holy Mountain.” From there it is on to Delos, Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Nauplia and Athens.
There are three cruises between Athens and Venice departing 24 April, 11 June and 21 September, 2013. This 14-day cruise-tour includes sites of Classical Greece, Dubrovnik and Split.
