Voyages to Antiquity sails into Edinburgh for next year’s festival

With Edinburgh set to celebrate its 70th anniversary as the world’s leading festival city next year, Voyages to Antiquity is offering travellers a new wave of no-fly cruises to the heart of the 2017 Edinburgh Festival.
The 16-day England, Ireland and Scotland cruise-tour is a new cruise created to coincide with the world-famous summer festival season and, having toured the dramatic coastline and rich history of the British Isles, will include two nights in the Scottish capital as the artistic spotlight falls on the city.
The new cruise will leave London on 13 July 2017 and arrive in Edinburgh on 26 July 2017 in time for guests to enjoy the buzz of Edinburgh Art Festival (27 July – 27 August), the UK’s largest annual celebration of visual art which takes over more than 40 galleries, museums and pop-up spaces.
As an added insight into the city’s artistic heritage, passengers onboard will be joined by Hugh Ellwood, a celebrated artist and architect who accompanies his on-board lectures with photographs and sketches from his travels.
The 16-day departure leaves Tilbury (London), calling at Guernsey (Channel Islands), Falmouth, Isles of Scilly (England), Dublin (Ireland), Liverpool (England), Douglas (Isle of Man), Isle of Arran, Stornoway (Hebrides), Kirkwall (Orkney Islands), Scrabster, Oban and Greenock (Edinburgh, Scotland), where guests disembark for a two night hotel stay.
