Waxwork museum to open in Ho Chi Minh City

A new attraction will open in Ho Chi Minh City next month, showcasing waxwork replicas of Vietnamese celebrities.
The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reports that the Wax Museum of Vietnamese Artists will feature more than 100 life-size wax models depicting local actors and musicians. It will also display photographs and other documentation relating to Vietnamese theatre.
“We have invested more than VND35 billion (US$1.5 million) to build the museum. More models will be added,” said Thai Ngoc Binh of the Vietnamese Wax Model Company was quoted saying.
The museum will be located at Hoa Binh Theatre in District 10, and a portion of its ticket sales will go towards helping poor artists in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam’s southern provinces.
