Wyndham expands Ramada brand

Wyndham Hotel Group announced the opening of its hotel Ramada Plaza Beirut Raouche in Lebanon. Subsequently, the company also unveiled its foray into Iraq with the newly-built, 71-room Ramada Sulaymaniyah Salim Street in Kurdistan.

The Ramada Sulaymaniyah Salim Street featuring 58 guest rooms and 13 suites and also has a theatre-style ballroom catering for up to 700 people. The hotel has various dining options ranging from the Panorama A La Carte Restaurant on the top floor to the Boulevard Café and Aquarium Lobby Bar.

The other facilities also include a spa with seven treatment rooms an indoor swimming pool, a Turkish bath, saunas and a whirlpool.

“Wyndham Hotel Group constantly evaluates opportunities to enter new markets,” said Rui Barros, Wyndham Hotel Group’s senior vice president and managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We look forward to offering business and leisure travellers in the market a new hotel experience.”

The hotel in Beirut added 144-rooms through the opening of the 18-storey Ramada Plaza Beirut Raouche. This is a mix of 119 standard, deluxe and executive guest rooms alongside 25 suites. Dining options include Views which offers international cuisine; El Fornayo, an Italian outlet; Umsiyat, offering all-day dining and traditional Lebanese fare; and The Lobby Lounge. Other facilities include a business centre, a boardroom and an additional six meeting rooms with a total capacity of 500 people.

In addition, the company recently announced plans to introduce the Super 8 brand to Saudi Arabia.
