Bangkok-based Boutique Hotel Management Asia (BHM Asia) has announced plans to launch its first international X2 hotel in Sydney.
The X2 Sydney will also become the first member of the new X2 Apartments Collection, and features a 320m² four-bedroom luxury penthouse overlooking the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Facilities include four bathrooms, two lounge rooms, two dining areas, a large kitchen and swimming pool. It is able to accommodate 8-10 people.
“The expansion to Australia is an important milestone for us at BHM Asia,” said Anthony McDonald, the group’s CEO & founder. “The apartment has recently had a multi-million dollar upgrade, and fully equipped with modern amenities and appliances, with an interior design that is modern, sexy, stylish and artsy. Topping it all off are breath-taking views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from the living areas and terraces.”
The Sydney property forms part of a three-pronged expansion for the X2 brand. In addition, BHM Asia has signed a new four-bedroom pool villa in Chiang Mai and a nine-villa property in Phuket, which is expected to open in 2015.
BHM Asia currently operates two X2 resorts in Thailand – X2 Kui Buri and X2 Koh Samui, with X2 Koh Kood following in 2014.
