Set to open in July 2014, the X2 River Kwai will feature just eight luxury cabins, with plans to add 18 more villas in 2015.

“I am very excited about the addition of X2 River Kwai,” said BHMAsia’s CEO, Anthony McDonald. “If you love design hotels and are a fan of X2 Resorts, you will fall in love at first sight with this property.

“The owner worked with Thailand’s top architect and designer team, Agaligo Studio, to bring out the key features of Kanchanaburi and translated into the resort’s design. Recently, the feedback has been very positive from the future guests and media, as we have already received quite a number of bookings and media inquiries for this property. Our team has been working hard to get everything ready for the resort’s opening in July,” he added.

Located on a scenic stretch of the Kwai Noi River, with views of Kanchanaburi’s mountains, the new resort features a series of units, ranging from 63-103m², and all overlooking the river. Facilities include a riverside restaurant with outdoor deck, a bar, library, infinity-edged pool also overlooking the river, bicycle hire, free Wi-Fi, iPads for hire and in-room massage services.

BHMAsia currently operates X2 resorts in several destinations in Thailand, including Kui Buri (south of Hua Hin), Koh Samui and Chiang Mai, plus an X2 Apartment in Sydney.
