Xiamen Airlines has taken delivery of its third Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, and the first to come equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi.
The new long-haul jet touched down at Xiamen’s Gaoqi International Airport on 23 March 2015, featuring 237 seats – four in first class, 18 in business class and 215 in economy.
And passengers in all three cabins will be able to connect to the internet using their smartphones, tablets and laptops using the Panasonic Wi-Fi solution.
Xiamen Airlines will receive 19 new aircraft by end of 2015, including four B787s, all of which will offer onboard Wi-Fi. The airline will use the new aircraft to launch its first long-haul flight to Amsterdam in July this year.
