Xiamen Airlines will embark on its first trans-Pacific flight to the US this year, with the launch of services to Seattle.

Commencing on 26 September 2016, the Chinese carrier will operate three weekly flights from Xiamen, in southeast China’s Fujian province, to Seattle, via Shenzhen.

The outbound services will depart Xiamen’s Gaoqi International Airport every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 0930 and arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 1025. The return flights will then leave Seattle at 1325 and get back into Xiamen at 2125 the following day.

Xiamen Airlines will deploy its 237-seat Boeing 787 Dreamliner jet on the route, configured with four seats in first class, 18 in business class and 215 in economy.

Following the Seattle launch, Xiamen Airlines will continue to expand its US network with the start of daily flights from Fuzhou to New York in January 2017 and four weekly flights from Xiamen to Los Angeles in June 2017.
