Xiamen Airlines has signed a wide-ranging codeshare agreement with KLM, allowing it to expand its coverage in Europe.
The Chinese airline will launch its first ever European flights to Amsterdam on 26 July, operating three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) direct from Xiamen, using a 236-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
KLM will codeshare on this route, and passengers from Xiamen will have the opportunity to connect to a range of European destinations with KLM, via Amsterdam. Destinations covered by the agreement include London, Manchester, Rome, Venice, Florence, Madrid, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Zurich, Brussels, Stockholm and Vienna.
In return, KLM will codeshare on a series of Xiamen Airlines’ Chinese routes, connecting Xiamen with Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Qingdao, Chongqing, Kunming, Changsha, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou and Ningbo.
The two airlines are both members of the SkyTeam alliance.
