Xiamen Airlines took delivery of its fourth Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on 20 April.
Like its other B787-8s, the new long-haul aircraft is configured with 237 seats in a three-cabin layout, with four in first class, 18 in business class and 214 in economy.
The carrier’s previous B787s have been deployed on domestic routes connecting its home bases of Xiamen and Fuzhou, in southeast China’s Fujian province, with Beijing and Chengdu.
And on 26 July, the airline will launch its first ever long-haul route from Xiamen to Amsterdam. This route will be operated three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) using the Dreamliner.
With the arrival of the fourth B787, Xiamen Airlines now operates an all-Boeing fleet of 117 aircraft, including 107 B737s, six B757s and four 787-8s.
It will also take delivery of two more B787s this year, completing the order it placed with Boeing for six of the aircraft.
