Marriott International has announced the launch of its Renaissance Hotels brand in the southern Malaysian city of Johor Bahru, close to Singapore.
The Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel, which opened its doors this week, features 345 rooms, four restaurants and bars, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and seven meeting rooms.
“Renaissance Hotels is a brand known around the world for inspiring its guests to discover something wonderfully new every time they travel. We are thrilled to introduce this new hotel to the dynamic Iskandar Development Region,” said Don Cleary, Marriott’s chief operating officer for Asia.
The property is located in the township of Permas Jaya, close to Johor Bahru city centre and a short drive from the roads connecting to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. It is also located close to the port and industrial area of Pasir Gudang.
The Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel becomes the seventh Marriott hotel to open in Malaysia.
