MANUEL GARCIA has been appointed vice president of sales for the Anantara Vacation Club. Garcia arrives at the vacation rental company having spent 15 years in sales, marketing and branding. Most recently he spent nearly a decade at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, Florida.
VALERIE MARINA BARRIOS has become Accor‘s new director of loyalty & communications for Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar & the Philippines. Ms Barrios has worked with branding and consulting firms in the US and Thailand, and was also chief marketing officer for Lebua Hotels & Resorts.
ANTHONY LARK has been named managing director & general manager of Trisara, Montara Hospitality Group’s luxury resort in Phuket. An Australian national, Lark has spent 25 years in the luxury hotel sector, including spells with the Regent Sydney and several Aman resort properties.
SANDRA CORDOVA MICEK has been announced as Hyatt‘s new senior vice president of global brands. She brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role, most recently as senior vice president of marketing for USA Today, and previously as vice president at NBC Universal.
DEBRA GOETZ has been appointed as Hyatt’s new senior vice president of corporate marketing & global communications. She joins the hotel group with more than 20 years of marketing expertise, most recently serving as vice president of corporate marketing for newspaper group, Gannett Company.
SCOT HORNICK has become Hertz‘s new executive vice president of revenue management. Hornick joins the car rental company from management consultancy Oliver Wyman, where he worked for the past 11 years. He holds a PHD degree from the University of Illinois in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
TONY CHISHOLM has been appointed general manager of the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G. A New Zealand national, Chisholm has more than 20 years of experience working in the hospitality industry. He has managed Accor hotels in Australia and Vietnam and led the pre-opening team at Sofitel So Singapore.
DAVID DE BRITO has become the new resort manager at the Keemala resort in Phuket. A Malaysian national, de Brito most recently held the role of director of food & beverage for Cheval Blanc Randheli by Louis Vuitton in the Maldives. He has also worked in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Qatar and Indonesia.
