French rail network SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français) has been named as the lead partner for Amadeus’ new rail booking tool for travel agents.

SNCF has become the first customer for Amadeus Agent Track as part of its new agreement, which includes a full content deal until the end of 2012. Agent Track will show schedules and inventory on a single screen with access also to Rail Europe-accredited agents.

“We are delighted to mark 16 years of partnership with SNCF, one of the world’s leading rail companies, and pleased to look to the future together with this extension to our agreement,” said Thomas Drexler, director of rail at Amadeus. “Amadeus Agent Track is part of Amadeus Total Rail, a unique concept that is helping rail companies to meet the challenges of a rapidly-evolving industry, both from a distribution and an operational point of view”.
