UK cruise operator Cruise & Maritime Voyages has announced a ‘buy one get one half price’ offer on its 18-night summer cruise, if booked before Friday 16 November.
The voyage, which offers the opportunity to call at Russia’s White Sea ports of Murmansk and Archangel has the added historical interest of calling at locations which were vital during the Cold War and WW2.
The cruise will also call at Bergen, the Lofoten Islands, the ‘magical land of the midnight sun’, the North Cape and Solovetsky Islands.
Many of the locations on the cruise are focused on a particular aspect of war and maritime history – with Solovetsky Islands once housing one of Stalin’s Gulag camps and Archangel once the centre of Russia’s shipbuilding industry.
Prices start from GBP2,249 for the first passenger, with the second paying GBP1,125. The cruise will be onboard the Discovery and depart from Harwich on June 16.
