Aviation Safety Culture Conference set to take off

Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saaed al Maktoum, president, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, DCAA will launch the ‘Aviation Safety Culture’ Conference on 29-30 January 2013, at Meydan Hotel.
The vent expects participation from around 300 regional aviation officials, representing airports, airlines, regulators and industry stakeholders.
Mohammed Abdulla Ahli, director general, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority said: “Aviation is so vital to today’s economy, potential flight risks need to be eliminated or minimized to prevent costly and tragic consequences.”
He further added: “There is no question that aviation safety is today at an exceptionally high level, but that isn’t to say that there isn’t room for improvement. This event will provide an important platform for deliberation as to the ways and means to moving to the next level and more importantly instilling a culture of safety.”
The two-day summit will comprise of series of panel discussions covering a range of topics, from the evolution of global aviation safety culture and integrating safety and culture with world class safety management system to commercial advantages of safety culture.
