Southeast Asian Airlines (SEAir) has announced plans to launch a new direct flight connecting Singapore with the Philippine resort island of Boracay.
From 18 July 2013, the Manila-based low-cost carrier will commence three weekly flights on the route from Singapore’s Changi airport to Kalibo, the gateway to Boracay. The 3.5-hour flight will be the first on the route, in the need for travellers to stop in Manila.
“Boracay is one destination visitors would want to return to time and again for a picturesque sun, sand, sea escapade, and we want to make it easier for our customers to do so by bringing the beaches closer to them and at affordable prices,” said Olive Ramos, CEO of SEAir.
Flights will be operated using an all-economy Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats. SEAir is a subsidiary of Singapore-based low-cost carrier, Tiger Airways.
