Amadeus has reached an agreement with Munich and Copenhagen airports to jointly work in the development and implementation of two new airport IT solutions. The products – Amadeus Airport Sequence Manager and Amadeus Airport Fixed Resource Optimiser – will form part of Amadeus’ new suite of solutions for airports.
In collaboration with Munich Airport, Amadeus will launch its Airport Sequence Manager. The solution optimises flight departure runway sequencing and provides a common situational awareness for all participants in airport operations. Amadeus Airport Sequence Manager unlocks existing airport capacity and reduces slot wastage.
“Technology has the potential to transform the efficiency of airport operations, ensuring decision making across partners is more collaborative, accurate, adopting customer views and operational requirements from across the travel chain,” said John Jarrell, head of Airport IT, Amadeus.
Working with Copenhagen Airport, Amadeus will develop Amadeus Airport Fixed Resource Optimiser. The solution offers a fixed resource allocation against flight schedule and attributes. In the planning mode, the solution improves infrastructure utilisation through an optimised use of stands and gates resulting in reduced costs.
