China Southern Airlines will ramp up its Brisbane service later this year, with the launch of daily direct flights.
From 21 November 2013, the Guangzhou-based airline will offer a daily morning service to the Queensland hub, aboard its latest Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
“Brisbane is a very important market for us and we are thrilled to be offering our Queensland passengers more flexibility when it comes to travelling to China and beyond on our modern new aircraft,” said China Southern’s regional general manager for Australia & New Zealand, Henry He.
“We already fly tens of thousands of Chinese into Queensland each year and hope to at least double our market share over the next five years,” He added.
China Southern currently offers four weekly flights to Brisbane, along with services to Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Perth. It will also upgrade its Sydney route later this year, with the launch of Airbus A380 flights.
