Maria Whiteman has joined Amadeus as commercial director UK & Ireland. Based at the company’s office at Gatwick, Whiteman will be responsible for developing Amadeus’ commercial strategy including its range of consulting and solution services. She was previously CEO of Directline Holidays.
Bronwen Batey has been named as the new regional director of marketing communications EMEA at Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. Batey was previously director of strategic accounts at the hotel group and has extended her marketing and partnerships role to include PR, communications and social media.
Katie Deering has been appointed sales executive for Veranda Leisure and Hospitality Group. Deering will handle all trade enquiries, training and events in the southern region of the UK for VLH’s hotels which include Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Heritage Awali Golf & Spa and Veranda Resorts. She joins the group from Kuoni where she was a sales executive.
Clare Mahon has joined Jumeirah Carlton Tower as the new MICE sales manager. Mahon previously worked at Great Hotels of the World and has also held roles at Radisson Blu Edwardian and The May Fair.
Harvey Gähl has been named head of purchasing for Austria, Slovenia & North America at Inghams. Gähl joins the tour operator with 30 years of contracting experience including most gained in the ski, lakes and mountains sector.
