Amadeus has signed a new global distribution agreement with Cathay Pacific.
Under the terms of the renewed contract, travel agents in Asia connected to the Amadeus GDS will be able to access the same level of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair fares, availability and functionality as any other trade channel.
Outside Asia, Cathay’s content will be available to Amadeus users with the same conditions as the carriers’ websites, call centre and other travel agency channels.
“We are proud to reaffirm our commitment with Cathay Pacific, a giant amongst airlines, by extending our global content agreement. One of our key priorities is maintaining our long-term partnerships with leading airlines in the region, to ensure we deliver the widest range of content to our global network of customers,” said Angel Gallego, president of Amadeus Asia Pacific.
Approximately 40% of the world’s travel agency air bookings are made through Amadeus.
