GoAir has waived off preferred seating charges on specific dates in a bid to encourage flyers to vote.
“On the scheduled dates of elections, bookings for all departures from that particular city will attract no seat selection charges as we offer our customers the freedom to choose their seat,” said a GoAir spokesperson.
This means that usual charges of US$8 (INR500) for seats with extra leg room and US$3 (INR200) for window or aisle seats would not be charged on the designated polling day for the departure city.
