Etihad has announced several new appointments as part of the creation of the Etihad Aviation Group. Rick Allen has joined from Air Canada to become senior vice president operations, while Chris Youlten has been appointed to the newly-created position of senior vice president airport and network operations, having held a similar role for Etihad Airways. Andrew Ward will be SVP marketing for the group, while Fiona Morrisson will be VP guest experience Midfield Terminal. Calum Laming will return to Etihad as VP guest experience, having left the airline last year to become GM customer experience at Air New Zealand.
Nancy Faure has been appointed vice president sales and marketing Europe at The Ascott Limited. Faure joins the hotel firm from Accor where she was co-director of sales for the group and has also previously been marketing director for the ibis brand; pricing and web director for Novotel and head of customer relations for Sofitel.
Emily Parkes has joined Titan Travel has northern area sales executive. Parkes is based in the Teesside area and will cover the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland to boost agency sales for Titan. She previously worked in retail for Thomson, Hays Travel and Virgin Holidays.
Lynne McGrath has been named sales executive south and middle England for bmi regional. McGrath will be responsible for business and leisure sales across hubs including Bristol, Birmingham and East Midlands. She joins from Brussels Airlines where she was marketing manager, and has also worked at Sabena/Swissair.
Angus Watson has been appointed as an account manager for leisure sales at Turnberry, a Luxury Collection resort in Ayrshire. Watson has moved to the Scottish hotel to handle key leisure accounts after holding a similar role at Fairmont St Andrews since 2009. He started his career with Macdonald Hotels & Resorts in 2005.
Jesdev Saggar has joined Dominvs Group as manaing director. Saggar joins the London-based asset management company from Deloitte in the Middle East where he was managing director. He will lead Dominv’s expansion which includes several new hotels.
