Four major airlines have chosen Amadeus to provide car rental services on their websites.

Air France, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and TAM all recently implemented ‘Amadeus Cars’, taking the total number of users to 14 airlines worldwide.

Amadeus Cars allows airlines to integrate car rental services at various stages of the booking process, or in the post-flight sales process. It provides access to real-time rates and availability from 33 car hire providers with more than 37,000 locations worldwide.

“The fact that four major airlines have chosen Amadeus Cars to implement rental car booking on their websites reinforces our position as market leader, and shows that the Amadeus solution responds to the carriers’ need to differentiate their offer and to generate new revenue in an environment of tight margins,” said Peter Altmann, head of Amadeus Cars.

The new solution allows passengers to integrate car rental into their airline booking on a single itinerary.
