Air Canada has announced plans to add its new international business class and premium economy seats to more aircraft.
The carrier will add the international business class to all its Boeing 777-300ER and will also reconfigure them to include the premium economy seats.
The international business class includes 30 lie-flat Executive Pods that are also fitted on its Dreamliners. Its premium economy cabins have up to 24 seats with more legroom and recline.
The latter will also be introduced to its Airbus A330-300s. Conversions are expected to start in Q4 2015 and will completed by H2 2016.
The carrier also announced an order for two additional Boeing 777-300ERs, valued at US$660 million in list prices.
The news came as Air Canada posted the highest adjusted net income and operating income result of any quarter in its history.
Adjusted net income for Q3 came in at CA$457 million, up 25.2%, while operating income had increased 26.4% year-on-year to CA$526m.
