Eurostar has signed a global agreement with Amadeus to offer travel agencies and tour operators access to its booking inventory system through the Amadeus rail sales platform.
The Amadeus Rail Display and Web Services solutions will allow Eurostar to provide its full range of routes and fares to travel agencies and tour operators worldwide, subject to commercial agreement between the rail provider and the distributors.
Darren Williams head of sales Eurostar said the company had been working with Amadeus since 2006 when the two companies signed their first technology and distribution agreement.
“Now, the Amadeus rail platform will unlock a prime sales channel for us,” he asserted.
“This agreement enables us to deploy our full range of fares in a quick and simple manner to travel agencies and tour operators around the world.”
The Amadeus Rail platform integration offers direct access to Eurostar’s inventory for online tour operators in turn making the rail company accessible to leisure travellers in the markets it operates.
