Japan’s ANA will deploy its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on an international route for the first time next week.

The larger version of the Dreamliner will start operating the Tokyo HanedaMunich route on 5 May 2015. Passengers onboard the 215-seat aircraft will be offered either business, premium economy or economy class seating, plus in-flight Wi-Fi and a new live TV service.

The B787-9 will operate the Haneda-Munich route on alternate days of the week.

ANA became the first airline in the world to operate the Dreamliner in October 2011, when it flew its B787-8 from Tokyo Narita to Hong Kong. Its B787-9 then entered service in August 2014.

In total, ANA now operates a fleet of 35 Dreamliners, including 32 B787-8s and three B787-9s, and has outstanding orders for a further 48 of the aircraft, including the largest version, the B787-10.
