China Airlines has started operating its newest long-haul aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER, on the Taipei–San Francisco route.
The brand new twin-aisle aircraft offers 358 seats in three cabins, including 40 flat-bed seats in business class, 62 seats in premium economy and 256 in economy. The economy class cabin also features the airline’s ‘Family Couches‘, which allow passengers to convert a row of three seats into a bed.
Other cabin features include mood lighting, touch-screen in-flight entertainment systems, Wi-Fi, and a free ‘Seat Chat’ service allowing passengers in different seats to send messages to each other.
China Airlines started taking delivery of its new fleet of B777-300ERs late last year and now operates six of the aircraft, with four more still to be delivered – two this year and two in 2016.
The aircraft have already been deployed on China Airlines’ services from Taipei to New York and Los Angeles. And in November 2015 the airline will start flying its B777-300ER to Frankfurt.
