Fairmont has celebrated the grand opening of its new luxury hotel in Jakarta.
The Fairmont Jakarta soft-opened in January 2015, but the property officially launched this week with a major ceremony that included a performance from Indonesian pop star, Agnes Monica.
“Today is a momentous occasion for the hotel and the Fairmont brand and we truly believe that the hotel is the jewel of this city,” said Carlos Monterde, the hotel’s general manager. “Aside from offering luxurious accommodation, exciting dining and cocktail options, we are also THE lifestyle destination for Jakarta residents.”
Located in the city’s Senayan Square, the new hotel offers 380 rooms and suites, including a range of top floor suites. There are five F&B outlets including the Spectrum restaurant, the View restaurant which overlooks the city, the Peacock Lounge which serves afternoon tea, and two bars.
There is also a fourth floor outdoor swimming pool, 3,500m² of function space including a 1,200m² ballroom, plus the 900m² Willow Stream Spa which features nine treatment rooms.
Fairmont now operates two properties in Indonesia: Fairmont Jakarta and Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali. And the company will continue to expand in 2016 with the addition of a second property in Bali.
