Sichuan Airlines will expand its international network next month, with the launch of its first ever flights to the Middle East.
Commencing on 4 September 2015, the airline will operate twice weekly flights from Chengdu, the capital of southwest China’s Sichuan province, to Dubai.
The flights will depart Chengdu’s Shuangliu International Airport every Tuesday and Friday at 0940, arriving at Dubai International airport at 1800. The return service will then leave Dubai at 2005 every Wednesday and Saturday, getting back to Chengdu at 1200 the next day.
Flights will run with a stop in Yinchuan, the capital of northwest China’s Ningxia region. Sichuan Airlines will operate the route using a two-class Airbus A330 aircraft configured with 36 seats in first class and 262 seats in economy.
Sichuan Airlines will become the third airline linking Chengdu with the Middle East following Etihad Airways, which commenced services from Abu Dhabi in 2011, and Qatar Airways, which launched flights from Doha in 2013.
