UK independent hotel management company Redefine|BDL Hotels has celebrated a major fundraising milestone for nominated charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
Representatives from Macmillan’s Greater Glasgow team were welcomed by employees at Redefine|BDL Hotels’ Glasgow offices brandishing balloons spelling out the amount of money raised to date – £30,000.
The company is well on its way to reaching its overall target of £52,000 – enough to fund a Macmillan nurse for an entire year.
Susan Bland, chief Human Resources officer at Redefine|BDL Hotels, said: “We’re proud to support such a fantastic cause. Not only is Macmillan Cancer Support a charity close to the hearts of a number of our employees; but it also does fantastic work to support those battling cancer and their families.
“It gives me and the rest of the team, great pleasure to welcome Emma and Natalie from Macmillan into our offices to meet just some of the faces who have kindly donated and taken part in fundraising activity. I’m looking forward to delivering the news that we’ve hit our £52,000 target – which I believe can’t be too far off.”
