Hilton has launched a new initiative that offers guests the chance to add a series of extra services.
Under the ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ initiative, DoubleTree by Hilton hotels have the option of creating ‘Little Extras Rooms’ on one or more floors of the property, which include a series of added benefits.
In addition to DoubleTree’s standard room benefits, guests opting for the Little Extras Rooms will be able to pay what Hilton called a “nominal fee” (US$25-35 per room, per night) to receive such benefits as high-speed in-room Wi-Fi, access to snacks and beverages, and an in-room coffee machine.
The new concept is currently being made available in the Americas, with a global roll-out expected to follow.
“Through the programme we’re allowing hotels to create a more rewarding guest experience by offering extras that can make their stay more enjoyable, while also driving profitability for our owners,” said John Greenleaf, global head of DoubleTree by Hilton.
“At DoubleTree by Hilton, we believe it’s the little things that make the biggest impact for both our guests and owners. We work closely with each to ensure we’re leveraging their valuable feedback to offer a fresh, relevant approach to the hotel experience, and this initiative is just one of the ways we’re delivering on that commitment.”
Under the ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ initiative, hotels can either provide areas on the Little Extras Floors where guests can receive unlimited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Alternatively, snacks and bottles of water can be delivered to the room.
The ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ can be added at the time of booking or on check-in.
