Qatar Airways has teamed with local celeb Jamelia to launch a new competition at Birmingham Airport promoting its inaugural Birmingham-Doha route that launches on 30 March.
The Birmingham-born star took the first photograph inside the unique Qatar Airways photobooth, which allows passengers the chance to win two flights to a destination of their choice.
The machine uses the latest green screen technology to virtually transport passengers to a selection of Qatar Airways’ global destinations including Sydney, Cape Town and Delhi at the touch of a button.
Located within the airside departures lounge, the photobooth is open throughout the Easter weekend, giving those jetting off from Birmingham Airport a taste of what they can expect from Qatar Airways.
Everyone who uploads their photograph to social media platforms using the dedicated hashtag #BHXTogether will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Qatar Airways Business Class flights from Birmingham to their dream destination. The first 250 passengers who have their photograph taken in the booth will also receive a special limited edition Qatar Airways chocolate egg.
Even those who aren’t flying through Birmingham Airport can still take part as the Qatar Airways photobooth arrives at The Bullring, Birmingham on Thursday 31 March and Friday 1 April.
Richard Oliver, country manager, UK & Ireland said: “Our new eight-times-weekly service, offering convenient and seamless connections to more than 150 destinations, will be an asset to both leisure and business passengers throughout this vitally important region.”
