Conrad Maldives Rangali Island recently welcomed increased connectivity from Saudi Arabia.
The launch of Saudia airlines twice-a-week flights into Malé will boost arrivals from the Kingdom. In response to this anticipated growth, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has tailored its services and amenities to cater for the Middle Eastern traveller.
The country accommodated a 12.8% increase in Middle East tourists between 2014 and 2015, representing 3.4% share of tourist arrivals, with the majority of travel coming from Saudi Arabia followed by UAE, and is set to double since the recent airline announcement.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an extremely key market for the resort and the Indian Ocean has always been a popular destination for luxury travel. Middle Eastern travellers are attracted to the resort for its close proximity to the Gulf, free visa on arrival service, and our ability to accommodate Islamic customs. We welcome the airlines inaugural operation and look forward more tourists,” said Lyle Lewis, general manager, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.
Conrad Maldives witnessed an increase in Middle East travellers from 2014 to 2015 and is committed to offering a resort which adopts cultural, another key factor to this increase in Saudi travel.
