Thailand’s Dusit International has unveiled plans to open a new luxury hot spring resort in southeast China’s Fujian province.
An agreement signed in Bangkok between Dusit’s Chinese subsidiary, Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts, and the Zheng Heng Group, will lead to the launch of the Dusit Thani Hot Springs & Wellness Resort Fuzhou in Lianjiang County, a natural spa destination just north of Fujian’s provincial capital.
Scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2019, the new Dusit Thani will offer 250 rooms and villas, many of which will feature private hot springs pools. Other facilities will include two restaurants, private dining rooms, a lounge and conference and banqueting space.
“We are pleased to bring Dusit’s brand of gracious Thai hospitality to this exciting city. We are confident that alongside our partners, the Dusit Thani Hot Springs and Wellness Resort Fuzhou will deliver an inspiring and rejuvenating getaway for both local and international guests,” said Lim Boon Kwee, chief operating officer of Dusit International.
Dusit currently operates three hotels in mainland China, including a hot spring resort in Guangdong province. But the company has significant expansion plans in the country, with a pipeline featuring at least five new hotels under its Dusit Thani, Dusit Princess and D2 brands.
