Ascott expands in Hong Kong with double launch

Ascott, the Singapore-based serviced apartment operator, has expanded its portfolio in Hong Kong with the launch of two Citadines properties.
The new 52-unit Citadines Harbourview Hong Kong and the rebranded 55-unit Citadines Mercer Hong Kong have increased Ascott’s presence in the city to more than 300 serviced apartment units across the city, covering both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
“Ascott has scaled up its network rapidly in Hong Kong with the opening of four properties over the past three years,” said Tan Tze Shang, the company’s regional general manager for Greater China.
“As one of renowned brands under Ascott, Citadines is expanding fast globally and is well-liked by international travellers. With the rebranding of The Mercer into Citadines Mercer, we will have three Citadines properties in Hong Kong, enabling us to leverage operational and marketing resources to further boost brand recognition.
“Ascott will continue to develop our business in Hong Kong to offer guests even more exciting accommodation choices in this dynamic city,” he added.
The new Citadines Harbourview Hong Kong is located close to Sai Ying Pun MTR station. All 52 serviced apartments offer more than 92m² of space and overlook Victoria Harbour. Facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre and a rooftop terrace.
The newly-rebranded Citadines Mercer Hong Kong meanwhile, is located in Sheung Wan and offers 55 apartments, a fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool and lounge.
With the two new Citadines properties in operation, Ascott now manages five serviced residences across Hong Kong comprising more than 300 units.
