The annual league table ranks Britain’s private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales. Last year Travelodge was ranked in 25th position. Achieving tenth position is Travelodge’s highest placement in the league table’s history since it started 12 years ago.

In 2015, Travelodge delivered record sales exceeding £100m in EBITDA, the first time in Travelodge’s history and total revenues were up 13% to £558m. It welcomed a record 18 million customers with a significant growth of 45% in direct business customer sales.

The company has also invested £100m modernising its hotels with a new contemporary brand design and a new upgraded room design which has been created by customers. Every UK Travelodge hotel now offers a consistent quality room experience to its customers.

Peter Gowers, Travelodge chief executive said: “We are delighted to have been named as one of Britain’s top ten fastest growing private companies in the Sunday Times Fast Track 250 league table. Customers are responding well to our £100 million hotel modernisation programme, upgraded breakfast menu and business account card.  I’d like to thank the thousands of colleagues in our hotels across the country and in our support office in Thame for all the tremendous work they have done so far, to make Travelodge Britain’s favourite hotel for value.”
