LATAM Airlines launches new direct flight from Barcelona to Lima

LATAM Airlines has launched a new direct service from Barcelona to Lima bringing the airline closer to its objective of offering the best connectivity to, from and in Latin America. The new destination will be served three times a week by a Boeing 767.
Rodrigo Contreras, general director of LATAM Airlines Europe said: “Thanks to this second direct route which will begin operations today on 16 December, Barcelona will be positioned as one of the main entrance points to Latin America from Europe. We would like to thank the Airline Route Development Committee of Barcelona for its support and collaboration in the development of our project from the El Prat airport”.
It is anticipated that over 63,500 passengers will use the new direct route annually.
The LATAM Airlines flight LA2430 will depart from Lima at 19.25 (local time) on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and will arrive in Barcelona at 14.05 (local time) the next day. The return flight (LA2431) will leave Barcelona at 23.55 (local time) on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will arrive in Lima at 07.45 the next day (local time).
The new route positions Barcelona as the main connection between Europe and Latin America, allowing passengers travelling from any destinations in Europe to connect with one of the 115 destinations that the airline flies to.
The new service will also complement the airline’s daily and direct flights between Barcelona and Sao Paulo as well as its direct daily services from Madrid to Lima, Sao Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Guayaquil (Ecuador). LATAM Airlines also operates direct services from Latin America to another four European destinations: London, Paris, Frankfurt and Milan.
