This year’s event will focus on cruise entertainment throughout the event, including a special entertainment themed ship tour on Navigator the Seas, and elements of the main conference day.

Entertainment will also form the backdrop for the gala dinner on 25 May where delegates will get the chance to vote in the live final of the Princess Cruises Variety Performance.
Best known as a performer and TV presenter, Jonathan Wilkes most recently joined forces with cruise lines to perform and inspire emerging talent from the Wilkes Academy, the performing arts training college, to perform onboard cruise ships.

Jonathan will take to the stage with Nick Weir, who previously hosted British TV show Catchphrase and is now vice president of entertainment for Royal Caribbean International. Together, the guests will share their experiences of working in the entertainment industry and will discuss the evolution of entertainment on board cruise ships.

Andy Harmer, CLIA SVP membership & director UK & Ireland said:
“We are delighted to welcome both Jonathan Wilkes and Nick Weir to this year’s conference to share their knowledge on cruise ship entertainment with agents. They will provide delegates with an insight into the variety of award-winning performances on board ships and how cruise lines are continuing to evolve their entertainment offerings to ensure there is something for everyone.”

The conference will include ship visits aboard QM2 and Navigator of the Seas, and featuring keynote speakers Christine Duffy, Rudi Shreiner and Gavin Smith.
