Regent Holidays is expanding its Middle East programme with a new walking holiday along the Jordan trail – a 600km stretch mapped by climbing and hiking enthusiasts, which can take up to 40 days to complete.
This ten day itinerary covers a section of the trail that takes in some of the country’s most scenic ecosystems and tourist attractions.
Covering a total of 79km over six days, it travels from the Dana Nature Reserve to the magnificent city of Petra, traversing rocky valleys and including sleep outs in remote wild camps along the way, before taking a 4WD excursion across the vast Wadi Rum Desert.
During the trek, local naturalist guides will be on-hand to introduce walkers to the local flora and fauna and share their knowledge of Jordan’s ancient history.
Prices start from GBP4,170 per person, based on two sharing and includes camping and hotel accommodation throughout with many meals, return flights from London Heathrow, transfers, excursions and the services of local guides.
