ERIC DE NEEF has been named as Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s new executive vice president, global chief branding & commercial officer. While he will be based in Brussels, de Neef will also oversee the Asia Pacific commercial team based in Singapore. He previously worked for the Rezidor Hotel Group.
MOHAMMAD ALI has been promoted to the role of area director of sales for North India with AccorHotels. A seasoned hotelier with more than two decades of experience, Ali worked for Taj and Starwood before joining AccorHotels in 2010 as the company’s director of sales for MICE.
MARC CAVALIERE has been appointed as Fiji Airways’ new chief marketing officer. A vastly experienced airline professional, Cavaliere has 37 years of experience, including spells with South African Airways and American Airlines. He has also served as a Star Alliance board member.
HALDON PHILP has been announced as the general manager of W Brisbane, which is on track to open in early 2018. An experienced hotelier with over 22 years’ experience, Philp most recently managed the opening of Sheraton Melbourne. Prior to this he was deputy GM at the St Regis Doha.
SASCHA HEMMANN has been named as the new general manager of the Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji. With a career spanning 23 years, Hemmann has worked across the world, including a six-year stint with the Capella Group. Most recently he was GM of the Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa.
MARKUS KOSCH has been appointed general manager of the new Conrad Guangzhou, which is scheduled to open this year. Kosch attended hotel school before moving to China to join the Hilton Shanghai. He has since spent the last two decades with Hilton in China and the Maldives.
KRIS MARTHIN has been hired as the new corporate director of sales & marketing for Shinta Mani Hotels Cambodia. An Indonesian national, Marthin started his career with Hyatt in Bali in 2002, before going on to work at Marriott’s regional office in Hong Kong. He is fluent in Japanese.
NOPPORN JETSADAJARATKUL has become Sala Hospitality Group’s new e-commerce manager. Khun Geng, as he is better known, is no stranger to Sala, having worked at the Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok since late 2012. He will now be based at the group’s corporate headquarters in Bangkok.
