This year, CLIA has seen a record number of travel agencies become members in the UK & Ireland, reaching 4,000 for the first time.
Travel agent members in Europe has also increased significantly seeing 1,000 agencies join in France, Spain and the Netherlands.
In addition, the association has seen breaking numbers of Accredited Masters in the UK & Ireland, reaching over 100 for the first time since the programme launched.
The CLIA training programme aims to take learners from cruise novice to cruise expert utilising 100 available modules, attending ship visits, joining webinars, attending CLIA events, taking cruise FAM trips, and sharing their knowledge and opinions with others by providing written pieces.
The first step is to become a CLIA member when agents will gain access to all of the information and learning modules at cruiseexperts.org. Along with this, they have the opportunity to attend events including the CLIA Conference in the UK.
Andy Harmer SVP membership & director, CLIA UK & Ireland said: “CLIA has been supporting the travel agent community for 30 years and continues to offer a range of accredited learning programmes, resources and special events to agents which has resulted in these record breaking numbers. We are thrilled to welcome so many new agency members and as more people join, CLIA is able to expand its support for agents in the UK and across Europe.”
