Swissôtel to debut in Indonesia

AccorHotels’ Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts has officially announced its debut in Jakarta, Indonesia scheduled for mid-2019.

Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue is set to provide the city with the largest events space that can accommodate up to 3,000 guests in its 3,044-square-metre facility. It will be located in a mixed-use mall complex and feature 412 guest rooms, six restaurants, an executive lounge and sports facility.

Aside from the multitude of dining options, the hotel will be close to sightseeing and leisure spots such as the Medan Merdeka, Mesjid Istiqlal, Museum Bahari (Maritime Museum), Museum Nasional (National Museum) and the Museum Sejarah Kota Jakarta (Jakarta History Museum).

Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue is designed by EDG Design, an interior architecture and design firm with offices in California, Texas and Singapore. Currently, the brand has more than 30 hotels around the world with flagship properties including Swissôtel The Bosphorus in Istanbul, Swissôtel The Stamford in Singapore and Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow.

In 2017, Jakarta was dubbed as one of the 10 fastest-growing tourism cities by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The property is expected to become a new landmark in the city with its prime location in the centre of commercial and upscale housing.
