Abu Dhabi Tourism’s new head to boost portfolio offerings
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced the appointment of Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry as Director General for Tourism. Al Geziry will cement Abu Dhabi’s position on the global stage as a destination of choice for all travellers in 2022 and beyond, communicating how Abu Dhabi is at the forefront of cultural excellence, sports leadership, and unrivalled destination experiences.
The sheer diversity of activities on offer in the UAE capital makes it the perfect holiday choice for travellers, with something to suit all passion points. Al Geziry is coming on board at an exciting time for DCT Abu Dhabi with a strong pipeline of new attractions, events and partnerships to be unveiled in the coming months.
With more than two decades of experience in the tourism industry, Al Geziry previously held positions at the Ajman Tourism Development Department, Meraas Holding and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai.

This year’s Arabian Travel Market (9-12 May) marks Al Geziry’s first appearance as Director General for Tourism, where DCT Abu Dhabi will announce a series of new products and partnerships which will further broaden Abu Dhabi’s top tier leisure and entertainment offer.
