Accor has tweaked its brand name, to become AccorHotels.

The European hotel group said the new name would increase “the clout and visibility” of the brand, as well as providing a closer connection to its website, AccorHotels.com. It also intends to boost the presence of the AccorHotels name, placing it “at the centre of its ecosystem of hotel brands”.

Along with the new name, a new strapline, ‘Feel Welcome’, will be included in the company’s AccorHotels logo. This logo also includes a yellow migratory bird symbol.

“Today, our group changes and loudly and clearly proclaims its desire to go further, faster,” said Sébastien Bazin, AccorHotels’ chairman & CEO.

“Accor becomes AccorHotels and proudly re-assumes its role as a pioneer hotelier that never stops innovating and surprising, at the cutting edge of digital technology, but while remaining an hotelier, first and foremost.

“The ‘Feel Welcome’ promise is a strong commitment to all our audiences and enriches the bond between the group and its brands,” he added.

AccorHotels’ new branding has been unveiled at the ongoing at Roland Garros tennis tournament in Paris, of which AccorHotels is an official partner.
