Air Arabia announces 42.2% Q1 net profit

Air Arabia recently reported a 42.2% rise in first-quarter (Q1) net profit beating analysts’ forecasts.
The airline made a net profit of 111.1 million dirhams (US$30.3 m) in the three months until 31 March 2016, the company said in a statement. This compared with a profit of AED 78.1 m in the corresponding period of 2015.
The airline’s first-quarter revenue was 945.8 million dirhams, versus 886.0 million dirhams a year earlier.
