Air Arabia clocks 15% rise in passengers

Air Arabia carried nearly half a million passengers in January 2013.
As per latest statistics, the airline carried a total of 492,847 passengers in the month, an increase of nearly 15% as compared to a year earlier. The airline’s seat load factor stood at 82.5%.
The airline also witnessed a steady increase in passenger numbers in 2012. Last year, the low-cost pioneer carried has 5.3 million passengers, an increase of over 13% compared to 2011.
January 2013 seen the airline take delivery of its first fuel-saving Sharklet equipped aircraft from Airbus with five more aircraft due to join the fleet this year.
